Movie review: Door to Door
Saw this gem of a made-for-cable movie Tuesday night. William H. Macy plays Bill Porter, a guy with cerebral palsy, whose mother believes unquestioningly in his ability to do whatever he wants. The story chronicles his career as a door to door salesman--and the profound effects he has on those he comes in touch with. Five stars for tender, tough and true human relationships.

And it's a true story. I saw it a couple of years ago, and I was just amazed by how this guy not only succeeded at sales, but at life, as well.
Oh, my gosh, I wasn't sure if it was based on a true story. I had thought so, but it didn't state on the credits. Thanks so much for pointing that out, Cyntia. Makes the story even more amazing. He and his mother were surely angels sent to inspire and empower those they met.
